The students and staff at Litherland High School are today celebrating yet another year of excellent GCSE results. The new reforms in Mathematics, English and Science have made achieving the best GCSE grades more difficult than ever. However, many of our students this year have risen to the challenge and secured a fantastic set of results, which will set them on their path to a very bright future. A special mention of Curtis Winter who secured a 9 in both Mathematics and English, 6 A* grades (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Religious Studies and Art and Design) along with 2 A grades (Statistics and Travel and Tourism). Curtis is now heading off to UTC Science College to follow an A Level route in the Sciences.
We are delighted with the achievement of all our students this year, some of whom have overcome personal difficulties along the way. The support and dedication of the staff of Litherland High as well as a personal dedication to achieve has come to fruition and many of our students are leaving Litherland with the grades and skills they will need as they enter the next phase of their education, whatever shape that may take.
All of the staff at Litherland High wish the class of 2017 all the very best in their very talented future.
